What you can do in the Resource Menu "Slice Animation"†
Here you will find the basic elements of slice animation, which adds movement to casts.
Slice Animation Setting Options†
- Add Button
Add a slice animation from the asset picker.
- Folder Button
Add a folder to manage slice animations.
Multiple selected slice animations can be grouped into a folder, and after adding a folder, the slice animations can be moved by drag & drop.
- Copy Button
Copy the selected slice animation.
- Paste Button
Paste the selected slice animation.
- Trash Button
Deletes the selected slice animation.
- Stamp Button
Register the selected slice animation as a stamp.
- Export Button
Copy the selected slice animation to any folder.
Slice Animation List / Right-Click Menu†
Right-click in the slice animation list.
- Cut
Cut out the selected slice animation.
- Copy
Copy the selected slice animation.
- Paste
Paste the cut and copied slice animation.
- Delete
Delete the selected slice animation.
- Rename File by Resource Name
Rename the specified file name with the name of the slice animation currently registered in the slice animation list.
- Specify Local Name
Valid only when a folder is selected.
Folder name localization function.
English folder names can be specified when opening in the English version.
- Open the Resources Folder in Explorer
Open the folder where the resource is stored.
Not used in slice animations of Resource Management.
- Open the Import Folder in Explorer
Open the folder for import.
Not used in slice animations of Resource Management.
- Copy GUID
Copy the unique GUID of the slice animation.
- Sort This Hierarchy by Name
Sort alphabetically by name within the selected hierarchy/folder.
- Sort Selected Elements by Name
Sort only on multiple selections.
Slice Animation Preview†
This is a preview screen of motions. You can check the motion selected in the "Motion List".
- Preview
The camera can be rotated and moved by dragging the right mouse button and moved horizontally by dragging the middle mouse button.
- Motion List
This is a list of registered motions. Click on a motion name to display it on the preview screen.
- + (Add Button)
Add a motion specification.
- - (Delete Button)
Delete unwanted motion specs.
Slice Animation Settings†
This section is for setting up slice animation.
- Name
Specify the name of the slice animation.
(It can also be changed by clicking twice on the name of the slice animation in the slice animation list.)
- Basic
Specify the basic display method.
- Scale (%)
Specify the display scale as a percentage. The setting range is 1 to 4800.
- Billboard Type
Choose how to display the billboards (flat polygons with the cast's picture attached).
- Motion
Specify what each motion represents.
- Name
Enter a name for the motion.
- Texture
The texture used.
Click on a thumbnail to select a texture.
You can also use the jump button to go to the corresponding texture asset screen.
- Display Time of One Slice (Milliseconds)
Specify the speed at which the animation will play. The smaller the number, the faster it will move.
- Playback Method
Specify the playback looping method. You can select from "None," "Back and Forth," or "Loop".
- Y Angle Offset
When displaying slice animations in 3D space, offsets can be added to determine which frames are displayed at each angle.
For example, if the number of Y slices in the image is set to 2, the image will be used as "facing south"
and "facing north" from the top if the Y angle offset is zero, but if the Y angle offset is set to 90,
the image will be used as "facing east (right)" and "facing west (left)" from the top.
