Tools Palette†
This is a collection of icons for various functions used in map editing.
In [ ] are keyboard shortcuts.
- Terrain: Rectangle Selection: [Esc or 1 (Direct Key Input)]
Select objects or events in the terrain or within the area of a rectangle drawn by dragging.
- Terrain: Trace Selection: [2 (Direct Key Input)]
Select terrain within the freehand line drawn by dragging.
- Terrain: Enclose Selection: [3 (Direct Key Input)]
Select terrain within the outlined area drawn by dragging. A straight line is drawn from the point where the mouse button is released to the starting point, closing the contour of the selection.
- Terrain: Same Type Selection: [4 (Direct Key Input)]
Select terrain of the same type and elevation that is adjacent to the terrain you click on.
- Terrain: Same Elevation Selection: [5 (Direct Key Input)]
Select terrain of the same elevation that is adjacent to the terrain you click on.
- Pen: [P]
By clicking on one grid and by dragging like drawing a freehand line, selected terrain in the stamp palette can be changed and objects can be placed.
If an event is selected, it can be placed at that location by clicking on it.
Holding down Ctrl+Alt while operating the pen will perform the same operation as Random Pen.
- Fill: [O]
Change all adjacent identical terrain to the selected terrain.
If an object or event is selected, it will be placed at the clicked point.
- Eraser: [U]
Click to delete an object or event.
Multiple deletions can also be made by dragging.
- Spuit: [I]
Select terrain or objects on the Map Editor preview screen. To switch between terrain and object, use the "Selection Target" on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
- Terrain Raise/Lower Pen
Each time clicking on a terrain, the location is raised by one level. Dragging will raise the terrain in a freehand drawn line.
Holding down the Shift key will lower the elevation.
- Random Pen
When placing objects, scale and Y-axis angles are randomized within a specified range. Scale and Y-axis angles are specified in Game Definition > Project Settings.
If there are multiple terrains with the same tag in Resources > Terrain Stamps, the terrain will be randomly placed within the group.
- Snap Tool
If an object is moved after this tool is turned on, it will snap to the outer perimeter of another object when it gets a certain distance closer to that object.
- Raise: [+]
Raise the terrain of the selected area by one level.
- Lower: [-]
Lower the terrain of the selected area by one level.
- Y Rotation: [D]
Rotate the selected object 45 degrees around the Y axis.
- X Rotation
Rotate the selected object 45 degrees around the X axis.
However, the cast cannot be rotated.
- Make it Slope
Convert terrain with steps into a slope with the specified orientation. Used on terrain with higher steps.
Multiple adjacent terrains can be selected to form slopes. Slopes can be connected by up to 5 different elevation levels.
- Make it Stairs:
Convert terrain with steps into a slope with the specified orientation. Used on terrain with higher steps.
Multiple adjacent terrains can be selected to form stairs. Stairs can be connected by up to 5 different elevation levels.
- Make it Corner
This function is used for terrain with a slope or stairs on two adjacent sides, and the disconnected area is also made into a slope or stairs.
- Make it Flat
Sloped terrain can be restored with "Make it Slope" or "Make it Stairs.
- Group: [Ctrl+G]
Group multiple selected objects. All grouped objects can be repositioned or resized simultaneously.
- Ungroup
Any object in the group can be selected for ungrouping.
- Light
The local light is installed at the clicked position. A dialog box opens to configure light settings during installation.
- Point Light
It is a light that shines radially in all directions from a single point.
- Spot Light
It is a light that emits a cone of light in a fixed direction.
- Color Picker
- Saturation
Color saturation can be set in the range of 0 to 255.
- Brightness
Color brightness and darkness can be set in the range of 0 to 255.
- Hue
Hue and color can be set in the range of 0 to 360.
- R
The intensity (brightness) of red can be set in the range of 0 to 255.
- G
The intensity (brightness) of green can be set in the range of 0 to 255.
- B
The intensity (brightness) of blue can be set in the range of 0 to 255.
- Transparency
Specify the transparency of the color in the range of 0 to 255.
- Brightness Bar
This color bar is a visual representation of brightness. Click here to specify the brightness directly.
- Hue Bar
This color bar is a visual representation of hue. Click here to specify the hue directly.
- Hue Distribution
This is a visual distribution chart that combines the hue selected in the "Hue Bar" with brightness.
Colors can be specified directly from here.
- Make it Starting Point
Specify the selected point as the position of the main cast at the beginning of the game.
- Copy: [Ctrl+C]
Copy the selected objects or events.
- Paste: [Ctrl+V]
Paste the copied objects or events.
- Delete: [Del]
Delete the selected objects or events.
